My child is interested in attending a DEC environmental education camp next summer. Is there financial assistance available to cover all or part of the camp fee?

 Yes, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation offers a limited number of camp scholarships, called Camperships, each year. In addition, several organizations throughout the state also sponsor youths who wish to attend a DEC summer camp. Parents who would like to send their child to a DEC camp should bring the program to the attention of an organization in their area.
