Question I am a Vietnam veteran and my GI Bill eligibility has expired. Does New York State have any program to help pay for my education?

Answer Veterans who received the Vietnam Service Medal for service in Indochina may be able to receive $1,000 per semester, or tuition, whichever is less, for full-time; $500 for part-time, under the Veterans Tuition Awards (VTA). This program applies to undergraduate or graduate study. Apply through your local State Veterans Counseling office or county Veterans Service Agency.
