 For towing inquiries along the NYS Thruway, motorists should call 1 - 800 - 842 - 2233. Please give an accurate location or milepost number with a clear description of the emergency. Towing rates for vehicles over 10,000 lbs. are available by writing to: Manager, c / o Traffic Safety Services, P.O. Box 189, Albany, New York, 12201 - 0189. It is the goal of the Authority to provide emergency service to disabled vehicles within 30 minutes of a confirmed report to the Authority’s communication center.
