Where can I find out what the travel conditions are like on the Thruway during periods of inclement weather?

 The Thruway maintains a toll - free number for customers to call for this information: 1 - 800 - THRUWAY (1 - 800 - 847 - 8929). The recorded message is updated as conditions change. Information on travel conditions also can be obtained by tuning into our Highway Advisory Radio stations. Available along the NYS Thruway in urban areas, these stations can be found at 530 AM within the Tappan Zee Bridge corridor; 1620 AM in Syracuse, and 1610 AM in the Albany and Buffalo areas. Important road condition information and alerts are also posted on the electronic Variable Message Signs you see along the Thruway.
