How can I open a New York College Savings Program account?

 Anyone, regardless of state residence, who wants to build a college savings fund for a child can establish an account. The funds can be used to pay for any eligible school anywhere, not just in New York State. The first $5,000 each year ($10,000 for married couples) will be deductible for New York State income tax purposes. You can open an account for as little as $25 or contribute as little as $15 per paycheck through payroll deduction.
