What do I have to do if I am interested in receiving services?
People who are seeking services for themselves or for family members with developmental disabilities should contact the Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD) through the Developmental Disabilities Services Office (DDSO) responsible for services in the county of their residence. A staff person will respond to your request, and an intake and evaluation will be scheduled on your behalf to determine eligibility for services as well as any specific needs you may have. In addition, you may contact a voluntary not-for-profit provider to seek services directly from their agency.
