How do I replace the title certificate for my vehicle if it is lost, stolen or damaged?

 You can apply to the Department of Motor Vehicles for a duplicate title certificate if you are the owner of the vehicle. You can apply for a duplicate title certificate on-line, by telephone, by mail or at a local DMV office.

The DMV web site has the instructions to replace a title certificate.
