Question Why should I reduce the amount of commercial household cleaners that I use?

Answer Commercial cleaners can contain chemicals that are harmful to our environment. These chemicals can be difficult for both homeowners and landfills to dispose of safely. There are many cleaning agents that are safer, more ecologically friendly, and less expensive. Some cleaning tips for making your own environmentally friendly cleaners include using one tablespoon of lemon oil mixed in one quart of mineral oil to polish furniture; use one-quarter cup of vinegar or one-quarter cup of rubbing alcohol in one quart of water to clean windows; mix together one-quarter cup of white vinegar, one tablespoon of cornstarch, and two quarts of warm water to make an all-purpose cleaning solution.
