Question What is precycling?

Answer Precycling is stopping waste before it happens. We can precycle by reducing the amount of garbage that we create. Buy bulk quantities of food, which uses less packaging. Pack your groceries in reusable canvas bags rather than paper or plastic bags. Use rechargeable batteries instead of disposable batteries. Use cloth towels and napkins instead of paper towels and napkins. For more information and tips on reducing waste, visit DEC’s precycling web page.
