Question Will I be fired when my employer discovers that I filed a complaint with the Division of Human Rights?

Answer The Division of Human Rights views retaliation as a separate act of discrimination. Retaliating against individuals who complain of unlawful acts, or who testify or assist in any proceeding under the Law, is unlawful. Under the Human Rights Law, complainants and their witnesses are protected against retaliation.
